I guess this is the place to sign up. But about the contest, you may want to extent the period by a week or so, because right now it's going to close on 12 sept. and there arent that many contestants yet. Also I am from themoddingtheater, I am trying to spread the news there, cuz there is no official announcement of the contest.

About the map from the competition. How did you make the roads? Simply clipped the brushes, or used gensurf or something.(havent used that program yet).

I started by laying them out the way I wanted them as blocks, and then I cut the slopes with the clipper tool.

Do learn to use the clipper tool ( including 3-point clipping ) its a friend indeed.

You can e-mail prefabs to me or Bjarne... I won't judge myself this competition but I'll make sure those who do will get the stuff ;)

m4rine wrote:um, can't you get same affect by simply editing vertices on a brush?
No: A brush only has 6 vertices... sure, if you are satisfied with those, by all means use v-editing. But when you want to do stuff like bending, or crooked stuff: clipping comes to save the day :)
