scripter needed

Post by Durruti »

Hi all,

I?m Durruti, one of the developers of 1936 moh mod. We are working on this mod 1 and half year ago and now i can say its the best and most realistic moh mod ever done. We have added to the mod features that moh didnt have : one of them is the use of ironsights for first time in a moh mod. At this point, and seeing the mod is becoming very popular (servers around the world and the european media making us interviews, watch them at our website), we would need some extra help to make 1936 even better.

The modders and scripters in the team are now busy making some new features for the mod and we would need someone to convert the maps we already have (team and CTF) to Obj ones. If you are interested or you want some extra info contact me via msn at bi_clan@hotmail.com

cool looks very accurate but the quality of the weapons are bad, poor skins and imported models like the molativ (was in wotmod might be wrong) really let it down and kaus made ironsights ages ago and i think modern warfare and rs2 are better they really add something new to moh and i dont have moh:bt only moh:aa and sh but it dont work on those, but anyway i like the player skins and maps.

Hi,

well, i accept u like MW as many players like UT, but, lol, if u say that is because i think u dont know 1936 at all. Here u got some exapmples of 1936 weapons :

an example of ironsights:

the skins are taken from real uniforms in the spanish civil war. If u know something about this war u would know they are simply perfect. Some examples:

The maps fits exactly to the real places . Check it out:

and thats not all. 1936 is the first mod to add ironsights (as far i know);

-Adds stamine: unlike the original moh, charecters on1936 get tired more or less according to the actions they?re playing, which affects his movement speed. The resulting stamina is a function of current weapon weight, the last actions of the charachter and the damage sustained round. Aso, the current stamina affects the player accuracy, as te more tired he is, the more erratic the crosshair becomes.

-Bayonets: some o f the rofles available on the game are equipped with bayonets, as an alternatie enhamecement for close combat. This addition means the become less accurate on long ange shooting, however they are deadly on short ranges.

Knives: 1936 also features the spanish knife as combat equipemnt.
Classes: On 1936, you can?t select a certain weapon. Instead, every player skin gets a set of weapons according to the historical context(i.e.: assault units have a higher chance of recieveing automatic weapons, and foreign units usually get equipment from their respective countries).

Weapons behaviour: every weapon present on 1936 has been modified to reflect his historical specifications as much as possible. Damage inflicted is calculated according to the caliber, bullet weight and grain. Also, clip size and ratio has been adjusted to the weapons specifications as much as possible . Range and spread of each weapon has been also moficied according to history.

-Adds damage: when u are injured new animations are added, u run slower, ur screen becomes red
There are many many other features in 1936 that moh dont have.

i must say this is the most complete and best MOH mod i've seen, and from what i see, you've added SP as well. the models are superb and the features look good. although you cant tell FPS or lerkiness with ironsights etc until you play it but so far, i think this'll be an excellent mod.

i like it and hope to see it do well. :)

also, you may want to contact PMOH or sumwhere about this mod if it really is as good as it looks. if it is, tehy'll prolly give you some sort of award or recognition, maybe backstage passes to PA demos etc???

well i did download it a play, the maps where my fav part and the players are great but i stand by the weapons letting it down the anims are cool but the models and skins aint that great. toggable irons are good, bayonets (in klaus second version of ironsights for moh:aa) and stamia, and class menu (for aa) all been done before though im not saying its bad just nothing amazingly new and its for breakthrough aint there a allied assault version?
maps are amazing through. most scripters that could help either dont mod breakthrough or are busy though you might have to wait a few weeks.

Hi, I'm YoChoy, one of the 1936 founding members,

1st of all, you may like our skins or not, I don't have any problems with that, but the molotov is 100% genuine and done by me. Wotmod may have its own, but ours was the first (ever). They may have developed their own version, but the 1936 molotov was done on March 22, 2003 (published by TMT April 8), long before the WoT mod started (or, to be exact, before they were hosted by PMoH: September 28).

2nd: I know klaus did an ironsights mod time ago, but their sights can't be toggled (Durruti missed the 'toggle' part :)). Our mod is the first implementation of toggle-able ironsights; the demo video was posted on the planet homepage, you should be able to dig it. As far as I know, it's also the first mod to feature usable bayonets (but I may be wrong on this), custom reloading anims, limping animations, semi/auto selectable fire pistols... It features stamina, knives, but I think those were done before. And it will be the first to feature a proper "dead bodies" mod (http://www.modtheater.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20080). By the way, it doesn't feature SP mode, sorry (too much work for so few people, team has been 10 members at its best).

And we know well about the Planet. We were hosted here for a year (our former site can still be seen at http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~moh1936) and we are really grateful for that. They still post our news on a regular basis. We moved to Jolt cause we were in need of a game server and it was too expensive (moving the website was part of the agreement). But I must add Jolt has also outstanding support. We are really, really proud of being a part of them both. Anyways, as representative of the 1936 mod team, I was invited by to join the Mohteam (http://planetmedalofhonor.com/features/mohteam/) from its inception, so we are well aware of MohPA and in touch with the developers. In fact, we are seriously considering porting the mod once the final version is released (so far, mapping is the only issue).

I'm sorry if I have been harsh or rude on this post, but reading our molotov was a copy really made me sick. See how it was born:

http://www.modtheater.com/forum/showthr ... ht=molotov

Also, being author of two of the maps in the mod, I thank you very much for your compliments. Specially cause they (Teruel and Belchite) are my first maps ever :)

Regards,

YoChoy
