America and the Draft

Post by strafer »

I guess I'm a little confused about what is going on with this draft issue. I first heard about it when Kerry made a statement in a speech where he said if Bush was re-elected then he would bring back the draft. The Republic Party still denies it. Now I am hearing rumors about the democratic party supporting the draft. Can someone help clear this up for me please? I am getting a little worried lol. If the draft does come back then I will turn 18 just in time for it. :(

I believe if Bush is re-elected he will bring back the draft. Who ever brings back the draft is commiting political suicide, What would Bush have to loose at that point.

I'm starting to lean towards Kerry  for alot of reasons. One of the most important reasons being to get rid of the hatred for Bush.
If Bush wins
It will give Bush haters a cause to keep fighting for the next 4 years.
Kerry or any new face may be able to defuse the terrible situation over there.
Here's this on the draft. Klick on "The Travis Smiley Show" link.

Hog, you listen to Tavis smiley show too?
Cool.
Anyway, I would not be worried to much about the draft. Bush and cheney said that their will be NO draft whatsoever. The people that enacted this bill ARE democrats, unfortunatly the media is playing things up as if my name was saga... (lol I just had to get that in)... the media is playing it up as if it was Bush's puppeteers who are doing this.

One thing, Who would tell the US people that they are bringing back the draft before they are elected. Im sure everyone would vote for them then.

All the things they say before they are elected are lies, and then they forget to tell you the things they do when they are in office. :?
