Train to Hell - released

Post by At0miC »

It was already released, but because .map was down I had to wait to post it here, well here it is 8-) ,

Train to Hell, by At0miC and tltrude.
October, 2004

It features a technique with scrolling scenery, moving objects, custom sounds, and modified textures.
All the fighting takes place on a moving train. Allied intruders start in the back of the train, and Axis defenders in the front.
Very nice with a few people like 2vs2 but also 16 players would be really great.
Be alert, don't make a wrong step or you will fall under the train. Watch out for low bridges and tunnels when you are standing on the roof!

Very well done. I just dont exactly see the relevance with the name . Not much room or places for me to really jump around in! Hmm, is there any way to make the ground, buildings, cars, etc... solid? so you dont fall through than die? I wanted to grind my face against the cave wall but i fell through instead

I give it my "2 thumbs way up" rating. Nice job with the map. I would like to see a tutorial on the revolving textures and models....

Thnx,

Well the ground is not solid because if u will die on the ground, the body model will stay there, that would look weird on the moving texture, looks like the body is flying.

About the tunnel, it has a death trigger, but it seems that it doesn't work all the time :(

I loved the concept and its exremely well executed and if it can be developed further.. ie more happening other than the train ride then I look very much forward to it.
