Some news from the modding front

Post by jv_map »

Some interesting news from modders lately that I think deserves some attention.

First off, At0mic and tltrude have released their very original map Train to Hell. Actually it was released a few weeks ago but since .Map was down I couldn't bring you the news. Anyway, the setting of this map is a train moving at high speed, presumably on its way to hell. While you're on the train you can see a very varied landscape beside you. The map is a bit too linear for varied gameplay but it scores especially well on scripting and originality and looks great too. Good job guys!

Second, Elite3D has send word about the progress MoH:Vietnam, a promising Total Conversion for mohaa, is making:
  • New modding site
Its the home of the sfx and alternation project MoH:Vietnam hopefully coming out soon.
that includes 20 new weapons, 10 player skins, new mutliplayer menus, huds, recaluted fire spread/damage ect, added game types like ctf, 3 vietnam maps(more would be nice), hopefully drivable jets and boats.
    http://alternation.mohfiles.com
also there tutorials on skinning and modelling located here
    http://alternation.mohfiles.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=6
Here's some pics to get you preexcited. You can read more about the mod and see more pics here.
