some mods

Post by lizardkid »

well i've been in a modding streak for my MOH and so far it's gonig good except for one point.

some new weapon skins.

for some odd reason, they dont work.
fortunately for me and you, i figured out a couple missing file, DDS files. i have no clue what a dds file is or how to make one. the makers didnt include one and i've seen plenty of screenies of them (one point on which i got them) and they dont work for me. :S

every other mod is fine. i havent modded anything besides avatar, crosshair, health bar, compass, sounds, and loading screen. that's all i've modded, nothing liek it should interfere...

help?

Yes but you can do without them :)... if no .dds file is found the tga or jpg image is used 8-) (or when texture compression is turned off).

ok, well it should work... the pk3's i merged into one (copy/pasted all the folders into one pk3 and made sure it was ocrrect) and each one matches the stock images... but i dont get it. the .shader should still work, they said they made it dummy friendly and you jsut plug it into main and play... i dunno.. you dont need anything but a .jpg/.tga and a .shader to make a skin work right? :?

LizardKid,

If you have Adobe Phostoshop, I have the dds plugin that will let you open and edit .dds files. You can download it here:

http://webzoom.freewebs.com/axion9/dds_plugin.zip

Once you unzip the file, take the file, open up your Photshop folder and place it like so:

Photoshop --> Plug-Ins --> Adobe Photoshop Only --> File Formats

Once you've dropped it in File Formats, you're good to go.
