Door problem

Post by NACF-URBAN »

I bet youve seen this before but I make a rotating door with an origin like the tut says and when I hit func_rotatingdoor it says "entity not created"
Thine who caste upon the muffin shall know fear,
For the muffin is reaper of souls,
Scourge of the unwholewheat,
Judge of mortals!
Thou shalt bow down before the muffin and chant his name in prayer:
"do you know the muffin man..."

YES! STEP RIGHT UP FOLKS! POINT AND LAUGH AT THE NOOB!!!! ONLY ONE POST OFFER, DONT MISS OUT!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself! Trust me, we (the veteran mappers) have all been there. We ALL have done silly things like that at one point or another...

entity not created

Post by tltrude »

Yep. whenever you see "entity not created" it means it has to be ungrouped before you can redo it. Don't forget about setting the angle for your rotating door (number buttons). It has to be set to one of the directions the a player will face to open it.

Notice that no angle is set for doors facing to the left and right. That is because the default angle is 0, which is right for doors facing that way.

And some of us still make silly mistakes, from time to time. It happens to me a lot, that's for sure...
