Trust me with the amount of errors I have shown EALA/TKO with the tools you would not want the version they first made, nor the second, nor the beta they just released.
If only they would fix the bugs I have reported...lol.

So, is there any time-frame of when they will have something for us to use? I'm ready to try, since they only have 10 maps and some are just too big for our little lan partys.

Talking with Matt Powers he told me how much time/money they had left to finish the MDK.
Good part is it should be soon.
Bad part is it should be soon. (errors/bugs)

Well you could look at it being bad that they're releasing it with bugs/errors. But I see it as we are going to get to start modding soon. The bugs/errors can still be worked out after it is released. It'll just take some time.

they should come out with the level editor same time te game is released
(just my opinion)
they obviously made maps using somthing
