Thoughts on MOH:PA

Post by ziptie2k2 »

I've read a few posts on the mohpa message boards over at the mohpa site, and there sure are alot of people complaining about this game. Just thought I would ask how everyone here feels about it.

I have played for about 3 weeks with my lan buds and we love it for mp, and I personaly like the sp part of the game as well.

I dont like the jungle and either does my computer.

Im afraid CoD has this game beat by a longshot. This games moves like the first CoD and has many of the same features. UO is way better than this game.

Im hoping we get some good mods and conversions rolling in then this game might be worth playing.

The singleplayer is good though, I must say. MP....good try.

To bad I dont have a pentium 3 billion with double super HP and a 1000MB graphic card...oh, and lets not forget the 17 sticks of 256 Ram...

Well, this may come as a surprise to many but with our lan partys (which useally consists of about 8 guys) just love it when pa spawns us all right on top of each other. It's complete mayhem and chaos and loads of fun for us. But on the other hand if it werent for that the mp would blow. The AI seems to be pretty awesome in sp so far.

BTW my lan buds all had problems with it not running on there comps, but all they bought was graphics cards and it runs great on all comps now. The sad part is they all spent anywhere from $250 to $385 on those cards.
They all have around a pentium 4 2gig and 512 ram. I had already upgraded quite a bit above requirements just cause of all the new games coming out (doom3, half life 2, and mohpa).

i wont dfend the MP, i tried the MP demo and wasnt exactly overwhelmed, but i love it that thye actualy still idd SP well. i hate games with crappy SP.

but patches and fixes etc will fix this i imagine.

i DO have to say that the vis quality of PA is SO much better than all of the CoD's combined.

anyway, you need a good system to play this so the 64 RAM 1 ghz nVidia MX 45 users are not gonna cut it.

have you met anyone who likes multiplayer in PA?

My whole clan seems to hate it. Our allied assault server is more popular then ever... At this point im kinda suprised im not seeing chants of 'death to PA' in the streets lol... lucky that these are mostly male players... males dont mind buying a game, then buying a 300$ vid card then more ram then etc... and then hating the game anyway lol. They got new hardware, and thats reward in itself!

Seriously though... why did they just stick to the pacific theater? Was there some huge demand in MOH for only south pacific fighting? Even if everyone was raving about it, instead of the opposite, I personaly would still be quite reticent to spend tons on a vid card to play a pacific theater game.

well,i absolutly hate CoD.i bought it,,played for 1 week, and never put it in again.tried the new expansion for it,it was alright, but again i only played it once.

i like PA because the faces are duller this way your not easily spotted from far away due to your bright peachy face.its deffinately a team player game, running and gunning isnt so easy to do. my vid card plays it fine, and it only cost me $150.

i think people was turned off by the demo, but the full version plays way better than the demo.not to mention SP,the AI is awsome, theyll actually have guys keep u busy fighting them while other flank you.probally the best artificial intelligence i seen in a game so far, then again i havent played a wide variety.
