Doors?

Post by Andy »

I seee tutorials on locked doors and roatating doors, but how do i do standard doors like you see in Southern France, Crossraods etc?

And another thing...I see the tutorial for adding ambient sounds appears to be dificult, but that seems to concentrate on things such as inside sounds, outdoor sounds, and complicated stuff. All I want is one simple sound throughout the whole level, can somebody explain this to me?

Thanks in advance! -Andy

Hmm, i must have done the tutorial wrong. When i made the roatating door, is rotated in the very center, like a revolving door you would see in some 1940's horror movie. I'll try again...

you need a "origin" brush along with the door brush. The origin brush is a brush with the "origin" texture from the common section applied to it. Place the origin at the side of the door that will hinge. Select both and right click. Func -> Rotatingdoor.

To have it always open away from you highlight both brushs...hit "n"
