Recoil values?

Post by lizardkid »

ok so now that everyone thinks i want this so i can own with my nonexistant recoil lake a raging newb...

i still dont think there's enough recoil in MOH, and i went to a server and it has nice kickback, the guns raise half a foot AT LEAST. i liked it, but the main modder wouldnt tell me what i could change or email me the files.

i've been trying to get a good recoil mod for some time but it seems everyone wont tell me because they think i'll use it to do even less recoil, which is pretty stupid since MOH doesnt have much anyway.

anyway, what are the values i need to change?

Why not studying a no-recoil mod.....you could see how they do to stop the recoil and you could reverse the effects.

Juts downloaded one to see within , the tiki inside models/weapons have been modified......

try maybe to work around this :

Code: Select all

	//========================================//
	//		PLAYER MOVEMENT		  //
	//========================================//

		sp movementspeed	0.9
		dm movementspeed	0.85  //orig 0.76
		realism movementspeed	0.85

exctract from bar.tik

Seeing that the server forced you to use more recoil it's kinda obvious we're talking about server-side recoil here, so it wouldn't really help you cheating knowing how it's done.

More than likely, they added the viewkick command to the tiki (init server section).
viewkick( Float pitchmin, Float pitchmax, [ Float yawmin ], [ Float yawmax ] )

Adds kick to the view of the owner when fired.
Example:

Code: Select all

init
{
  server
  {
    // lot of crap
    viewkick 2.0 4.0 -0.5 0.5
    // more crap
  }
}

alright, thanks guys. i ended up modding the viewkick, and that works perfectly, although now i see why MOH didnt show off it's recoil much. it's pretty rough. :lol:
