Lifting surface properties?

Post by Roger »

Is there a way to "lift" the surface properties from an already textured surface?

It sort of annoys me that i have to start over with the scale and shift if i go back to a textured surface and just wish to nudge the texture a little bit.

One trick I use is to highlight the face of the brush that you want to texture and then with my three button mouse click the middle button on the brush face that has the texture and properties I want....It will work like a charm.

Make sure that in Edit -> Preferences you select "3 button" in the mouse section.

Ahh, Yes this was great, I've been looking for just this information all over the net, Don't think to many people know about it.

It is possible to select the same surface as you have highlighted, which makes it just what i wanted.

Thank you honourable elder. :D
