Scale of units.

Does anybody has an idea about the scale of units?

I ask this because i'm designing a commissioned map for someone, but it has to be (almost) on scale.

10 meters, how many units would that be?

16 units is 12"
1 unit = 3/4"

so 10 meter would be 524.928 units. Call it 525 units

In case anyone wants to know:
1" = 2,54 cm, so 12" is about 30 cm 8)
