Hi all,

got a bit of a problem; when I create a straight-on square swimming pool filled with water it looks nice 'n' transparant and makes splashy sounds and streams lovely.

However, I want to make a river which is twisting a twirling its way through the terrain. How do I do this? When I use a load of square pools end-to-end and slightly rotated each time to create a bend, the seems look a bit weird and it really all looks like a train of swimming pools. In other words, terrible. But the sounds and explosions still work and you can jump into it too.

So I thought I'd use a the bend function to create a bent path, flatten it and texture it with riverbed. The same thing then copied, put on top of it and textured with water. This looks brilliant and still is streaming, but you can no longer go into the water (it's frozen) and the sounds and splashy explosion effects are gone too.

So how do I make my river? Thanks a lot for any reply that can get me further!

Use LOD terrain.
Live to map, not map to live.
