it depends on the amunt of time it takes to back up but I think we should have a backup every week. in four weeks there are hundreds of posts made, why not lose less?

it was JV's decision as an admin to lock the forums to prevent more chaos until we find out exactly whats going on...

And yes, lessons have been learnt - a rotation backup schedule will have to be made

Just a suggestion..... Is there any way to set up an automatic updater, to update it automatically every few days to an external disk space host?

this encouraged me to make a backup of my clan forum. I feel sorry about you guys, and i dont think the posts will come back, if you havent got a database backup or gamespy hasnt got it, the posts are gone. Good that you have a database backup from 1month ago, so 1 month is worth nothing

That's because of the phpBb database structure. count is not calculated each time, it's stored.

Too bad this happenned to this site
