Mapping:Windows
Ok...i have 2 walls parallel to eachother...each one has a window that lines up exactly with the window on the opposite wall...i put in the full window and the broken window and that all works perfect when broken...but if im stading outside of one wall and break the window...the window directly opposite dissapears...but if i go inside and im not looking thru the broken window, the opposite window reappears! I used NO DRAW and CAULK and added the textures by using CTRL-SHIFT-RMB...any ideas?

Ok...here's some screenshots!
1- This is a shot looking thru one window at the other one directly across from it...and as you can see both windows are visible

2- Heres a shot with the window closest to me shot out...now as you can see the window directly across from it is gone!

3- Heres a shot where i moved 3 steps to the right...now you can see the window I shot out...and now the window directly across reappears again!

Any ideas whats causing this? I've tried NO DRAW/CAULK, CTRL-SHIFT-LMB, CTRL-LMB, etc...

get this little pk3 with new windows.
There are two new (broken) window textures and a test-map inside, the left row of windows in that map have the texture u might want to use.

i wouldnt of used the no draw.i always use caulk first, then i get the texture i want then apply it by clicking shift then on the window.then back on the texture so it applys.
i think your problem is cause you used no draw.
re try it without using the no draw, plus make sure its the correct caulk, there is a few that look the same

Hehe, yes it seems obvious but it's not necessarily the texture he used.
Most window textures don't use the 'cull none' parameter in their shaders, which means that those textures are only visible from one side, like normal textures. In other words, to use them apply the window texture to both the front and back. Only use Nodraw on the four sides that touch your wall frame.
If a different window texture seems to works with Nodraw on the opposite side, then that one probably uses the 'cull none' parameter in its shader. Does that make sense?
