Would it be posible for you to post a screenshot? I'm not sure if I understand what you mean exactly.

You should stretch a brush around the whole map, make sure its bigger than ur map in all views them hit the make hollow button, with box still highlighted choose ur sky. Carefull all skys don't work!

If ur unclear on that click below on Nemesis tuts.

oh yeah, Don't try to scale the sky texture.

caulk

Post by tltrude »

Don't bother about putting caulk on the outside faces of your skybox brushes--it is not needed. Try the mohday2 sky texture--that one works for sure. Scalling, or making the texture "fit the face", will have no effect on how the sky looks in the game, only how it looks in the editor.

You can only use 1 sky texture in a map, so dont mix them up

A possible reason (and solution):
there are lots of sky images (and others too) that have no shader. Be sure to use one that has a shader, others won't work. In the textures window, those with shader have their name written in blue, those without are written in black. Best would be to turn off showing non-shader images in the preferences.

And be sure that no brush is out of the skybox, i had the same problem and figured out that one vertex( a cone-like roof brush)was just touching the skybox.
