Hell in the Pacific 2.0 Update

Yes?we are still alive. Slowly but surely, work is still being performed on Hell in the Pacific 2.0. We had some setbacks with core members having responsibilities concerning the MOHTeam, but now the focus has returned. The team has been working hard to achieve a ?polished? level and we have had two clans helping us with debugging. In order to avoid perfection paralysis though, we are getting close to an actual release. This does not mean that this will end HitP support or development as we are sure fans would like certain items/features patched. In the meantime though, here are some shots to show you how far the TC as come and what you can expect.

Hey looks great! Just 1 thing: Isnt it spelt Mortar?

Yea that mortar issue has been fixed.

Spelling is not my thing if you did not already know....hehe.

The first 1 was good but this 1 looks a lot more ''hig quality''. I like the mortar... has the issue been fixed where it doesnt act like a 'real' mortar.. ya know hwere it goes up.. angled a lil bit and comes down somehere in front of you? i mean in the last 1 the mortar kinda was... bad... but HitP 2.0 looksw awesome.. like actuallly like 'pa' quality good...

Mortar is the same. Like any project your limited to a certain amount of time, members left, bigger fish to fry. You have to weigh which would be better to spend time on...mortar or menu system, improved flamer, or radioman/medic classes.

I simply aim up in the air when using the mortar. By all means once we release it if you want to help with a patch, it will get you work into the mod and scrolling credits.

honestly im not really good at 'modding' things like thins(or modding weapons at all) so i cant do that.. im just a medium scripter/mapper...icould map but, i thikn yer done... if ya need me ill gladly help( :wink: ) but in the meantime i think ill just map and script for my own lil stuff... (oh for the mortar you could make the projectile reeely dense or have heavy gravity on it.. i dunno, just a guess)

does that mean the mortar is not diff?

thge menu system/ menu looks great btw!! but in 9 months why not wait a lil exytra time and just the mortar.

radioman, medic -few weeks, flmaer maybe more. menus- months as they look gd. but at least finish the mortar!

The mortar has to be cool cos the idea of them is cool.

Why not script the projectile if u cant get the desired effect with tiks?
