How do I add a TREE

I am still preety new at this in understanding this mapping but i am eager to learn but how do i put a tree in my map? I need to put it behind a fence at the end of my map instead of blue sky you will see the fence and trees behind it . can anyone help? Thanks ,CD

for a model: Right click > static > natural > tree >

But if you want a tree texture on the background, make a brush give the hole brush a nodraw skin (textures/common/).
Then select on face of the brush (side of view) and give it a tree texture (find them by typing "tree" in the console bar in the editor).
Press S and fit the texture how you like it.

the demo map which came with radiant (i think), m4l0.map, and several maps in the mohaa recycling bin would be good examples of how it can be done. 8-)

I think I am still doing something wrong I did it like you said but now when I go into my map my ground is all dark I am useing ambient lighting.

do you mean the ground is darker in color... or do yu mean, EVERYHING is dark?
