Look at the sticky topic at the top of this forum for compiling errors and their solutions; chances are that the answer to your question is inside.

ERROR: No such file or directory

Chances are that one of your MBuilder paths points to the wrong directory or is just wrong

SOLUTION: Check that all your MBuilder / batch file paths are correct.

hard to find a reason or solution without knowing a bit more.
Give us the log file of the compilation. This ought to help.

the search button is ur friend:
tltrude wrote:You can make a log(s) of the compile by using one or all of these lines in Mbuilder. Click on "change" and put the code after your compile options. The text file can have any name you wish.

-v > c:\WINDOWS\desktop\log_bsp.txt

-v > c:\WINDOWS\desktop\log_vis.txt

-final > c:\WINDOWS\desktop\log_light.txt

I have them going to my desktop, so they can be trashed easily after looking them over. But, your path to the desktop may be different. Also, using these logs, nothing will be printed to the DOS window during the compile.
@Tom: hehe, u've got that ready for copy 'n paste on ur desktop, right? I found it atleast 5 times here in the forum. Good for those who can't search

what do u mean by 'freezes'? crash or just seem to do nothing? this light stage can take it's time. Even with -fast it can easily be some hours :?

radiosity is a relatively ineffective part of compilation, and it takes forever. -bounce 0 makes it skip radiosity, for testing dont bother with light stage.

im tryin to get the log filse but mbuilder wont even get to light stage, it jsut hangs in vis :( theres no errors that i can see in the logs as yet and they are long so i wont bother posting them eh

sorry wacko erm it just hangs, erm without the log files being created the estimated time doesnt change, even after a few hours, and with the log files after checkin them here n there it doesnt write any new lines :?
