hilariously stupid labels

Post by Master-Of-Fungus-Foo-D »

Wow.. what do these companies take us for idiots? The best 1 is the last 1.... its HILARIOUS!
i rest my case...
On a Sears hairdryer: ?Do not use while sleeping?
[Darn, that's the only time I have to work on my hair]

On a bag of Fritos: ?You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside?
[What?s this? Encouraging shoplifting?]

On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap"
[And how would that be?]

On some Swanson frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost"
[Note that it?s only a suggestion]

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom): "Do not turn upside down"
[An instruction coming too late?]

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating"

On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body"
[But what if I want to save time by doing this?]

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine: "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication"
[This is a great way to keep children from driving cars and operating machinery]

On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness"
[duh]

On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only"
[But not in the hallway in between?]

On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use"
[What do we need to do, buy another one to find out what he other use is?]

On Sainsbury's peanuts: "Warning: contains nuts"
[duh]

On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts"
[duh]

On a child's Superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly"
[Darn . . . they why buy it?]

On a Swedish chainsaw: "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals"
[Has this been happening often?]
hmmm :?
crank crank yaaaaaange  (chainsaw noises)

i once heard of a US electronics company that was sentenced to pay a huge amount of compensation to a woman who dried her wet poodle in her microwave (the poodle didn't errm like it) and because there was no according warning in the microwave's instructions.
So, having to live with such kind of jurisdiction, I'd write things like that in my products instructions too... :?

it's lost it's common sense and has resolved that court is the only option. if peopel are worried they can lsoe something where their parked car was run over by a dumpster (has happened, dumpster man won about $1000 in damages/sue money combined), a hot cofee can be sued for.

it's insane.

The reason for most of that stupied sh!t is these pricks

I HATE Lawyers with a passion.
They are making this world a worse place and offer nothing constructive to society. They are like Vultures, wait around till someone has a problem and swup in and take advantage of some poor sole.

(commercial)Someone ran into me and caused 5 thousand dollars in damage and we got 450,000, yah we screwed them, thanks to Jim Adler.

i dont like the capitalism aspect of it (hey man! i burned my pinky on a light bulb! must be the company's fault!), but it's not the lawyer's fault, many lawyers save innocent people's lives and keep convicts behind bars.

it's the judges/jury that can't rule to common sense that are making this sort of thing commonplace.

Keeping someone in or out of jail, right or wrong is not their concearn.
The only thing a lawyer cares about is $

Their Leeches on society and promote bogus law suits.
