Stalingrad revamped/new areas/tdm/obj

Post by seere »

I feel a little guilty as it seems im stealing mpowell's thunder as I have just read his post, however I too have been working on stalingrad (was going to name it the same as powells :? ) nevermind..
Anyways I have rebuilt it and in the process of expansion for Obj purposes so upon release there will be a few extra goodies.
Heres a taste.

Yes great job! When will this be up for download? Not to down the map any, but some of the textures seem to be a bit oversized. Just thought I'd give alittle crit about what I see.

Yes your right some of the textures are not sized correctly yet as im concentrating more on the structual side of things.
As for when will it be ready...hmmm lol, well I will be releasing a bit of a map pack so i may hold on to it till then or maybe just release the tdm version of this in the next week.
cheers for the input.

Looks good. I was actually going to create a sequel to Stali 2. Looks like I don't need to anymore. Good job on the conversion.

What kind of settings and framerate are you getting?

Thx for the compliment.
Frame rates at this stage are pretty good with nomore than 15000 tri count at the worst points and mainly average out at around 5-10000.
Mtext values are around 25 on max settings.
New aditional areas are controled by area portals so not to effect the rest of the map.
