The moh community will not get the AA source from EALA. They do not own it. What the community will get monday at noon PST will be what EALA owns of the source files. I assume its 2015 property.Rookie One wrote:Yeah, I've been thinking of writing a petition to them about releasing the code... But I doubt they will...ID released Enemy Territory and RTCW source of their own free will, but EA didn't even respond to the MoHAA anticheat petition...
BTW, Fungus, shrink your signature to some reasonable size, it's pretty annoying.
Hence the reason why SH, BT, and now PA get further and further away from AA.

i have 2 crushes of my own and am the object of about 9 of them. i swear to whatever gods you want me to it's true.thats Ultra sexy individuals
at 15, that aint half bad i dont think
2015 could probably care more if we used the MoH:AA source now, MoV is out, they're working on something else now, they already ahnded over map source, which i'm glad they kept, a petition might inspire the idea.
but they may run up against Q3 requirements and have to edit it out. Q3 is still a commercial engine and costs quite a bit still.

I've had the files since last night. It is interesting to see how the EA guys made those MP maps. Also interesting to see the different ways they used clips and areaportals.
Can't believe they actually released this stuff over 4 years after the game release.
The only thing I'm worried about is the 1000 versions of those maps that will be released in the following months.

I agree, still I guess its inevetable so we will just have to dig out the best like we currently do with customs.MPowell1944 wrote:I've had the files since last night. I was thinking the same thing. I have always frowned upon editing/re-doing/re-scripting stockmaps. Blehh (just my point of view). However some remakes are not bad.MPowel1944 wrote:The only thing I'm worried about is the 1000 versions of those maps that will be released in the following months.
Can't say I'm interested at all in seeing those map files at this point. Most if not all things I needed to know I already found out by using the BsptoMap-converter and this very forum.
Probably the only thing those maps would confirm is how poorly the maps were clipped. Seriously, I can't think of anything I would need to have those files for right now.
