Post by ViPER »

Well I've been at this for six weeks now and I can share with you some screenies from my second map (I have started several projects). It is near completion as far as mapping though I would like to learn more about vis. Time to learn how to script. Here it is so far -

The inside, looks awesome form the screeniies, but the outside = nasty.. very plain and sandy.. i dont like the outside but the inside looks very temply-ish i like the fire on the chandelier and the secret passages = my favorite thing for CTF matches :)

That looks good. Only thing I can see is that it looks a bit flat (the ground thet is). Flat can feel a bit boring. But perhaps it is ment to be flat, and if so its not a bad thing.

although it's flat, the buildings give it a nice touch and breaks the pressure of needing bumps, but still, it's probably best to LOD those and do a little jitter ;)

all the outside is lod... the temple itself is massive and so is deceiving in the pics. there are several holes big enough to completely hide in.

ok, i guess i dont have a reference in those pics, i assumed they were pretty small.

well if it's all LOD it should be easy to mess around with a few polys :)
