Cannot open OpenGL subsystem

Post by lizardkid »

this ONLY happens when i start SH, with BT and AA it's fine, but SH it comes up with this error. a friend of mine has it with AA and has not been able to fix it. i don't want to screw around with drivers unless it's going to work for sure, because they're pretty touchy things...

Hmm if SH comes with a configure.exe then maybe try that... or copy over the rendering cvars ('r_') from your mohaa config file to your SH config file.

Decrease the Rez in the .cfg - I have resently transitioned betwixt a large rez monitor to a small rez one, and MoH wouldn't run until I changed the Rez value, and it gave that error.

I think it might have something to do with your graphics card drivers. try getting the latest ones, might help.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Green and Jack are right. Might be drivers. Don't forget, whenever you install drivers, reinstall directX so it is configured for the new drivers. Most people overlook that and only reinstall drivers and get troubles back again later.
