What can I do to be able to move 'em again? And, besides, how can I put several entities (if that's what them pieces are called) together that they're in one piece afterwards? I've tried all commands in the MOH-mapping-gadget-forgot-the-name but it didn't work - well, my English ain't that good...

can't move my stuff
Yep, it's me again with some stupid noob question: When I'm making a map (or trying to do so) it happens that I (somewhat suddenly, it seems
) can't move the pieces around anymore

First and foremost there is never a stupid n00b question that i didnt ask myself at one point!!
Second i found that when i try to move LOD terrain sometimes i get that problem. The only thing i found that will solve it is to select that terrain again toggle the vertex editing off and you should be good to go. If that didnt work i think saving and reloading the map can work as well but takes a bit longer. Helpful however if you have alot of terrain and you forgot which one you worked on last. (please forgive me if this is inaccurate but i been workin with alot of different editors lately.)
As for grouping entities i think you mean brushes. If i recall properly Function groups are more just for organizational purposes. You will still have to select each peice if you want to manipulate them. You may be able to merge brushes together however but only if it doesnt form a concave shape of some kind.
Now onto your english skills they seem to be as good as mine and i was born and raised in America and my skills arent that good either so dont worry about it.
Hope this helps

Oh well, I downloaded all tuts and read them most carefully
so that's not the probem...
Okay, as example: I made a new map and tried the mg42 stuff out (turretweapon). For this I created a brush and hollowed it (as that was faster). Then I made the walls where I wanted to have my kraut gun. The MG itself did appear but I just couldn't move it around. Same with the bipod...
I feel like screaming...
...not to mention when I try to put a player start in LODTerrain!

Hey, You turn ur machine gun by highlighting it then hit "N" and turn it by pressing 90, 180, etc....
Set some parameters and your good to go.
As far as not being able to move stuff, I had that prob at work, turns out it was my pc, not enough mem. took for ever to move stuff.

Do you mean you can't select the mg42 and other entities? If so, check the Preferences in Mohradiant.
Go to Edit->Preferences... and see if you have enabled the "Wide toolbar" -option. It seems there are two buttons next to eachother (with a red cross on them) that can lock Models and Curved brushes. If you accidentally pressed the first one (the left) you can not select the Models, like the mg42.

Thanks! That might be the problem, 'cause I think that's what I do (or did, hopefullyMaster-Of-Fungus-Foo-D wrote:about the vertices thing...
To make sure you never get this problem again, Never toggle the vertices editing mod off by using V, use ecsape
Anyway, I made a new map and managed to fix an MG42 that works and I even put a AK-Kraut in the map who - imagine! - had the guts to attack me when I was standing right behind the MG!
