my first map help

Post by Carbonated Weasel »

i just made a map and there are some things wrong with it and i dont know how to fix them. i made a river through the map and in radient it looked all nice and good but when i compiled it and ran it there were little parts of land jetting up from the river. i can still walk through the land but it just looks like crap. ____/\____/\___/\__ from a side veiw it looks somewhat like that. and for the second problem, i put in a truck and i surrounded it with clips and when i compiled it the truck was really high up in the air and the clips were still in the same place though. how do i fix those problems? help would be appreciated. thanks!!

As to your first problem, did you use LOD terrain? If you did, you might need to set 'scale' to 1 in the LOD menu in Radiant.

Dunno about the truck :?.

You must use different views to make good terrain. Also use the 3d view. It's more efficient.
Live to map, not map to live.
