Extracting Weapons sounds

Post by Michael »

Hello,

I would like to know how one goes about extracting weapons sounds from MOHAA?

I cant seem to find them all by just searching the game folders.

Thanks for the help.

Hey,

The sound files of mohaa are hidden in the pak3.pk3 and pak4.pk3 files, you can find them in mohaa/main/.
You can open them by changing the filename to for example pak.zip, then you can unzip it. Or use a program like pakscape.
Remember to make a backup of the pk3 files first, you still need the original files for the game.
And there are a few sounds in main/sound, which you already found out I guess.

Well, if you unzip them with quickzip (a program just like pakscape - it's free too) you won't have to backup them; it's as if you copy the pk3s, I think (at least I extracted files and the original was still complete...
