Squad scripte...

Post by lizardkid »

yes, i know, probably a bit presumptuous to actually submit this, but i thought since SP AI hasn't really ever been messed with before i'd see if this was newsworthy

Yes, after giving up and finally reviving the project again, the first version of my squad script is done!

Clickime

There's a small, badly done map with the .pk3, just showing off features of the script. just monkey around inside the map a bit with the commands and have fun!
Read the readme if you want to support your SP maps with this script.

The stock SP maps are not supported... going to do that...

This is NOT THE FINAL VERSION, there will be updates (but not many, maybe 1) adding features and cleaning up the horribly written code.

if you already have a custom.cfg file, you'll need to add in the lines in the one that came with this one, i figured it was the easiest way to make the binds and aliases.

Code: Select all

COMMAND LIST:

Home: Hold your position (but not fire)
End: Supressing fire (look at the area you want to shoot at and hit this button)
Delete: Follow me! (makes all the squadmates follow the player)
PageUp: Advance on that position (Go where i'm looking)
PageDown: Regroup (Advance on my position)
Note: i have a Microsoft MultiMedia Keyboard 1.0A, which groups all those keys into the normal spot and bunches the rest to other places, so this configuration might not make sense to you. feel free to change it to your liking.

And (many x 10e50) thanks to tltrude, bdboder, jv_map, Rookie One.pl, Bjarne BZR (Whatever a BZR is) and the people who took the time to write the tutorials at the Rjuken Project and .map

Without all you guys, this would have never come close to being thought abou

It was probably more fun to make than to play, but i hope you guys enjoy it anyway.
