fences

i have been trying to make it so that whn you shoot a fence (secfence2) you shoot thru it but its not working
i know the problem is in the shader and have tried everythin inclusing and swapping the shader round for that other secfence one you can shoot thru but it didnt work

any help would be appriciated

Is your fence brush textured with the no-draw texture? If it's caulked, that's why you can't shoot through it.

yeah but even with nodraw and a fence texture it dont make it shootable through.

you have to check some of the flags in the texture window, I dont have radiant installed so cant check to see which ones, but I remember monster was one of them:)

have a look on search for bullets, grates, fences

the answer is out there somewhere, I know it !

Really? Because I've made fences that you can shoot through using no draw without changing any of the surface flags. :?

I always had serious probs getting them to work like the V2 ones.

Then I got clicking on the flags and found a way that worked for me, I posted what I did a long time ago, if I find the thread I will post a link.

I can shoot through my railings and such and I only use the proper texture/shader and nodraw. I never set monster. Or any other flag.
Of course nodraw on all sides except one.

found the problem its not with the shader its cos my fence is on a mesh :(

goodbye droopy meshy fence :cry:
