Compiling: loadPortals: couldn't read D:\Mohaa\main\maps\bat

Hi my problem is something during the compilation. this is the error I get:
loadPortals: couldn't read D:\Mohaa\main\maps\bat.prt

I followed the tutorials On this site but I get this error. I can contineu the compilation but when the game starts My computer doesn't react anymore.
Can somebody help me?

I think you are getting an error while compiling, and as a result: the portal file is not created... dcan you see any errors?

I just run into the same problem. This error prevents the vis compile... The map I'm trying to compile is leaked, could that be the reason for q3map not to write the portal file?

Yep. The .prt file is only created when your map has no leaks. If your map has leaks, you'll get a .lin file instead. To find leaks in your map, go to file --> pointfile in radiant and it will show you the location of the leak(s) with a red arrow.

When I'm making a map, I often leave a leak in the skybox to speed up the compile so I can quickly see my progress.
