Hi !

I'm creating a map for MOH:AA :D

About the map !

Marakesh 1942,allies and nazi...show must go on !
Map was creating for fun, we spend lots of hour playing mohaa in work office,
i have idea for good, small maps for 4-6. I designed and tweaking Marakesh with my frieds, now its time to publicated

ive got one question tho... in the second to last picture, is it me or are those things the trees are sitting in textured with common/black :?

Kiedy Chemik powiedzial mi, ze jakis Polak przyslal mu mape do sprawdzenia i chcial, zebym rzucil okiem, bylem nastawiony dosc sceptycznie, zupelnie nie spodziewalem sie czegos takiego! Architektura jest po prostu swietna! :) Dalbym ci pare wskazowek, zeby ta mape dopiescic. ;)

That's the effect of using no ambientlight at all. ;)

Just took a dash around it, and i must say that it is, without a doubt a very nice map... but there were some odd things - func_door? func_window? Its like two different mappers made it!! But it is very well structured, it looks really great :)

Yep, mohaa radiant suxxx so more, i have lots of problem with light and any scripts in editor...only can used a standart function (rotate was crashed)...but it works open/close door :P Lots of function not working or map was recompilated wrong etc. :/

Rookie One.pl {sfx}---> jak rozumiem widziales ta mape wczesniej :) Jak masz jakies wskazowki to z mila checia wyslucham ( soldaten, Rookie have some idea for Marakesh :D)

Master-Of-Fungus-Foo-D--->Yes,ther is some problem with light but i think now is fine :P

make an obj version - if you have some nice idea i open my mind and listen :D

Ok... the map is better then the screenshots.... and the monkey action was fun... But, of course, i did find a few holes in the map and a few questsions rose to mind.

Questions:
1.) how come u used sliding doors? seemed kinda weird, i was confused for a bit but later accepted it. (they just didnt go along with the sound :? )

2.) Is this door texture right? i had to stare at it for a moment, still unsure...

3. Why not add TDM spawns?! I was.... maddened by that... oh well.

Alright. Now for the .... monkey spots.

Spot 1.
From the balcony, i jumped onto the small lip, rounded the corner... onto the rooftop... jumped ontop of the wooden pole, then onto the roof ledge, and around. Free to drop down.

Spot 2.
From that top 'tower' from the ladder, i jumped down on the parapets, i cut across, jumped onto the small fence and could either:
a.) Jump out of map and.. uh.... fall forever.
b.) jump onto rooftop and pretty much get on every rooftop from there-after.

Spot3.
Walking up the slanted board brought me to this rooftop. I jumped onto the rooftop ahead of it, walked around the bubble, then jumped onto the ledge of the next building.. rounded the corner and jumped up the ledges after which brought me to a rooftop where i could go behind/under map or round the rooftops.

I managed to find a spot in the crates that someone could get stuck.... Icky. But... If you know how to do the HIGH jump you can get out of this sticky situation.. other then that, ur... well... stuck.

Well, thats prety much it. I loved the map, well made and looks AWESOME. Id like to play it with a small handful of people, that'd be the best!

Thx for fast and professional feedback !

1.Yes, i have a problem with rotate dors :/ i used standart dors but it work fine (open/close and sound)

2.Yes, indeed is door :P

3.I have TDM version but i have a problem with recompilated that version, if anyone can do this i can give him a .map version :/ Tried today recompilated and this not working (i sayed that mohaa radniant suxxx ?).

Monkey spots !

I liked all...and you dont find them all :twisted: ...and trust me if 3/4 gays runing on this maps with guns tricks monkey spots is very difcoult 8-) But if you are skilled and can do this spots give you powerfull position ang you can panish your opponents many times :twisted:

About STUCK - remembre, all creates and other wooden objects are destroyable and you can use granade or melee of your gun :) Some spots are two way to go but one are destroyable :wink:

I'm very happy if you like that map, if you spend some of your free time with you frieds in Marakesh that will be briliant award for me :twisted: ...anyone, free ticked to Marakesh :wink:

If you want to make this map well known, post this map at a populair website for MoH maps or mods like www.mohfiles.com
