Ever thought about doing a .Map Map Pack?

Post by [RSoBB]-Tybalt »

This may have been asked before but I'm gonna ask again anyway :P

Theres a lot of talented people here at .Map and I was wondering if you had ever considered releasing a community map pack? I aint much of a mapper but I still enjoy checking out what people are upto on here but finding some of the maps to download can be a pain in the public release section, what with obscure topics names and dead links. So have you ever considered putting together a map pack that showcases the best maps in one easy to find easy to download file?

What would also be interesting would be a release of maybe a themed map pack. There appears to be still quite a few active people on here, have you ever thought about pulling together and releasing a map pack based on a theme?

Maybe what I'm asking is unfeasible, quite probably is seen as it aint been done already, but it would be cool.

Well I was just thinking the .Map community, but it could just as easily be the MoHAA community as a whole. Im glad you've shown an interest MJ, I've downloaded a few of your maps and they've all been impressive :)

Could I include spearhead maps ?

I only ever made spearhead maps :(
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Tybalt, as instigator, would you care to start compiling the map pack? Make a list of the maps you want :)

Yeah its a nice map and it'll be on the list. I have a worry if I do the list of maps they may all end up being quite similar, small objective maps with shortest time possible before I get to kill someone
I have played on custom map servers for FFA and Lib aswell but not as much as my clans old custom objective server, so my knowledge on custom maps for other gametypes is rather limited. A few guys at http://www.pure-mohaa.co.uk have custom ffa servers so I might ask around there, see what their favourites are.[/pimp]

Til I get my comp back you might aswell bombard me with links to good maps.
