Custom ambient "MUSIC"

Post by mcunha98 »

Hi People,

In all maps i developed use the standard sounds of maps (like mohdm1, etc...)

But i have a question, how i put a .mp3 file (or .mid) into my pk3/map to play a custom ambient sound ?

In tutorial of Nemeses (http://users.1st.net/kimberly/Tutorial/music.htm) exist a way to play custom music, but this method dont show how i put a new mp3 file into the pk3.

Just put your mp3 in a folder like main/sound/my_music.
The path in your .mus file (inside main/music) should be the same as were u putted the mp3.
If your .mus file is named for example; my_music.mus, you need to use the name my_music in your .scr file to enable the music in your map.

Remember, some mp3 files could be false, so they are unable to use. You can see an Error in console or logfile when this happens. You nedd to convert it to a other mp3 quality.
