not exactly sure what you mean, you create the ladder with your brushes, then create a flat brush in front of it and make that the func_ladder.

i think i know hwt he means. he made the actual ladder brushes and made them into a func_ladder.

or he made the ladder right but he mistakenly textured the actual ladder with ladder texture...

yeah, i think that's it...

i created my ladder, then selected the ladder texture over it...
give it func_ladder...
so, it works, i can climb on the ladder, but it has no texture/brush, its just white...
how do i give it the look of an actual ladder?
and where can i find a sound? cause i have no sounds in my room... :?

PS i used the tut, so i must have done something wrong...

there should be a white text box around the top-left area of radiant. Type and enter 'wood' in to get some wooden textures. Use one of those with your ladder, or just look around through the many textures under the 'texture' menu.

sounds

Post by tltrude »

To get the sounds working, place your .bsp file in the main/maps/dm folder (create one if it is not there). To do it right, you will also need to add info_allied and info_axis spawn points in your map (at least one each)--along with the single info_player_start.

After you do all that, you will have sounds and weapons. To test it, look for your map name in multiplayer Team Match.
