Help Seting Up Spearhead SDK!!!

Post by Hitman »

Okay I did a search I didn't see anything.

I need help on how to config Spearhead SDK. Because evertime I do it will not save right and it will not compile.

Couple of questions:
1. Is there a walkthru somewhere to show me how to do this.
2. Because it is Spearhead SDK the maps folder needs to be in mainta right.
3. Do I need to have the compiler point to sdk\tools or still have it point to mohtools for mohaarad.

Thats all I can think right now. Could someone please help.

Okay I found this tutorial and followed it but I am still getting can't find maps\test.bsp. I look in the dir and I can see the file is their I don't get any errors when I am compiling I just get an error when the game comes up.

Here is the tut I used.

"Ok now I know the problem for both of you.
Do this step by step
1. remove your High definition mod from main folder and all your custom maps from your main and mainta place them in a folder on your desktop

2. there is a pk3 called entdefs.pk3 make sure this is placed in your mohaa folder

3. in your mainta folder go to the maps folder then dm folder and make sure you have MOHLIGHT and Q3map files inside

4. In your project settings for radient under file make sure these paths are set.
basepath: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\
mapspath: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\mainta\maps\dm
autosave: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\maps\

5. and again for the Mbuilder paths should be set to this.
Gamedirectory: C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA
compilerdirectory: C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA\mainta\maps\dm
map source directory: C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA\mainta\maps\dm

Do Not work inside the sdk or the mohtools folder all .map files and bsp file should be saved in your mainta/maps/dm folder the settings above will fix this issue as long as the entdef.pk3 is the mohaa directory and the q3map and mohlight are in the dm folder...

This should fix both your problems "

Please Help.

I have something else I want to ask with this.

When I am using the MOHrad that is in the sdk/tools folder and mohtools mohrad that doubles of everything. Like when I right click and go to info player there are two axis, allied, starts and so on. I am doing something wrong.

One more thing I noticed is when I compile my .map it is loading MOHAA not MOHSH if I am using MOHradiant SDK the spearhead verison. Wouldn't it need to load Spearhead it get the textures right. Did I setup something up wrong.

And Still need help with the question above.
