no sound?

Post by MajorErick »

Hey guys, I had made a map, and just compiled it with Mbuilder. The problem is, is that when I run MOHAA, there is no sound at all! Does anyone know what the problem is? Much help would be great!

It sounds like an ubersound issue. Do you have a lot of custom .pk3's in your game directory? If so, remove them and then try out your map.

Hi, and welcome to .Map :)

I suspect you are running the map as a single player map. Run it as multiplayer instead and most sounds will work.

That is: put the BSP file in main/maps/dm ( or main/maps/obj ) instead of just in main/maps

But the problem is, is that I am making sp maps. And before, I compiled my maps from main/maps, and they worked, but now I'm not getting any sound from the new maps I'm making now. I've tryed making test maps, and the same thing happens: I dont get any sound. I'm pretty sure it's not the directory. Oh, and thank you for welcoming me to .map. But, just to let you know, I'm already part of the community of .Map, because of my recent 2 and a half years experience of Call of Duty. I can sure tell you one thing though. Medal of Honor mapping is MUCH easier than Call of Duty mapping.

then put test_ before your map name, or make a precache script for it.

Also, IF you put your .bsp in the Main/maps/dm folder, you will have weapons and sound. You have to test it as a team match game, so you'll need to add allied and axis spawn points--along with the single info_player_start.
