tv tuner driver

Post by At0miC »

Someone good at drivers?

My m8 got a new laptop so he removed his PC. He gaved me his tv tuner card, but he lost the driver cd of it.
I tried to find a driver for this card on google but it's hard.
Is there someone who is good in finding drivers? and can I also use alternative drivers? I mean if u can't find the original driver can I also use a different one?

The card:

Philips BZT K U09 276
(or BZTK and/or U09276)

3139 147 13291A#
FI1216 MK2/PH hm
SV22 9841

s/n 2337

(I only got the card so I just wrote dawn what I saw on the card)

:cry: can someone help me out?

No, but it looks pretty familiar. Thanks for the site, I'm trying to find it there, but that page is huge :shock:

Edit: ok I found this card,

Image

It's exactly the same as mine, but the tuner is different, mine got a TV tuner, the one I found (picture) also got a radio tuner.
Anyway it has the same chips: PIC16C54A, Bt878KHF, 24LC028, TL74HC4D52D.

Ok this is the info of the card (picture):

M168-K

chips: PIC16C54A, Bt878KHF, 24LC028, TL74HC4D52D
little board (SONY NE 41S 851) in the top right corner
eeprom: 48 01
pci-subsystem: 1461: 0001
Notes:
... bttv-card.c modification involves taking the audiomux and audio_hook entries
for card=6 and putting them in card=41, and changing audiomux[0] to 0x4.

aka AverMedia TV/FM98 dbx stereo
pci-id: subsystem=1461:0001
card=41
audiomux=4,4,8,4,0,0
gpiomask=15

Can I use the same driver which is also needed for this card? Because the chips are the same. Or would the tuner be a problem, because it's different? (The tuner on my card is the same as this one (grey box): http://www.bttv-gallery.de/InterVision_IV-550_bt848.jpg , it's a FI1216 MK2/PH (BZT K U09 276))

Can't do much without the name of the card maker--its not Philips. Philips only made the TV Tuner part of the card. The info for the AverMedia card does not help, unless you know for sure that they made your card--I don't think they did.

Find out all you can, from your friend, about the PC the card came from. Also, you might try installing the card in your PC becuse it may be plug-n-play. Windows may also tell you who made the card.
