floating guys!!!

Post by MajorErick »

I have a problem. On one of my maps that I'm working on, it's based on an underground bunker. The problem is, is that some of my guys just float up in the air! does anyone know what the heck the problem is? Lol it's kinda funny watchin them just flaoting up though. As soon as they see me, and they're about to shoot... they just go UP in the air! Bye bye German! lol :P

You probably need to select the entire map and move it up, lets say, 128 units.

Wow! I wish! Lol, anyways I figured out the problem, somthing to do with the ACTUAL ground, overtop the bunker. So I just deleted the brush (thank GOD I didnt work on the ground before the bunker!) and created a new, simple brush as the ground! Vamous! .......errrrrrr wait, doesnt that mean move?

I have an error similar to that in my map. There are a couple of walls that seem to push me away when I walk next to them.

I've got no evil polys in my map. But it looks like it is the interior floor of the building is pushing me away. When I moved that brush out of the way, I was able to walk against the wall without any trouble.

Snapping to grid didn't help. So hopefully the problem will be gone after I delete and rebuild.
