Scripting exploders question

Post by Faceball »

I am following the TUT on scripted exploders and have run into a problem.

I am going step by step and did the script object part, did the entity and assigned values.

I go to TEXTURES/MODELS :

I found statweapons, but i cannot find EMITTERS for explosions_mine.tik
or PROJECTILES/BAZOOKASHELL

Where are they?

Really doesn't matter. Just type in the model name as value for the model key. e.g.

model "/projectiles/bazookashell.tik"

By the way, models shouldn't show up in the texture menu. Use a right click in the top view instead.

Okay, so i don't have to physcially find the tik.....just add it to the value entry.

When i was reading the tut it said to press the MODEL button and search for model. Where is this button?

Also... i saw the line models/statweapons/flak88.tik, so i looked around and didn't find it in teh 2d option so i clicked the texures tab and scrolled through to the M's and found "models" after Misc_outdoors....clicked that it gave me a selection and i saw "statweapons".....clicked that and it gave me the "flak" choices. Figured i was in the correct place.

I figured this was the way to find all chioces because i saw no MODEL button as described by the tut. When i couldn't find the emitters/explsion and projectile options i was stumped...Thus the need for the post.

Also, i went back and tried the right click in the top view as suggested, but found no models option.

Thx for the much needed help. I will give your suggestion of typing them in.
