Too bad I missed this thread, because I'm practically square-shaped from eating ( both cakes and other stuff :) )

Thanx yall, damn I'm old, I kind of expected a cane as a present, but I got away with it :D

Happy bithday man!!

Swedish Birthday Song
"Ja, m? du leva"

A birthday celebration in Sweden often starts early in the morning. The family "surprises" the one with a birthday by bringing in a special breakfast tray with a hot beverage, sweet roll and lighted candle and singing "Ja, m? du leva".

This song is sung to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions
Ja, m? du Bjarne leva, Ja, m? du Bjarne leva,
Ja, m? du Bjarne leva uti hundrade ?r.
Ja, m? du Bjarne leva, Ja, m? du Bjarne leva,
Ja, m? du Bjarne leva uti hundrade ?r.

Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva, Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva,
Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva uti hundrade ?r.
Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva, Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva,
Ja, visst ska du Bjarne leva uti hundrade ?r.

"Ett fyraldigt leve... leve du Bjarne. HURRAH, HURRAH, HURRAH, HURRAH."

Sorry if im wrong.hehe grattis p? f?delsedagen!

Thanx Elgan :)

It is almost correct, but you never sing the name ot the person, just remove my name where ever it appears in the text and it is correct. :)

After the song you say
"Ett fyraldigt leve f?r Bjarne. Han leve: HURRAH, HURRAH, HURRAH, HURRAH."
There is also a more brutal second optional verse, stating that after living for one hunderd years ( a reference to the first verse ): the guy will be shot.

But the Swedish word for shooting someone is the same as pushing someone, And in the end it is clear that he shouldent be shot at all, but instead pushed in a wheelbarrel ( Imagine a 100 year old guy beeing pushed in a wheelbarrel now ).

Its really wierd analyzing stuff like this. The level of silliness immediately becomes clear to you :)

I can imagine the misinterpretations of pushing and shooting in the military when an officer orders an enemy to be shot, and the soldiers tackle him.

In all seriousness, happy b-day Bjarne!

Since it's impossible to not like puppies.... here are some puppies for you! You can have them all. Oh don't forget to keep 'em all busy and walk 'em twice a day.
