Wacko has sent in an exellent tutorial on creating light beams. It's a good tutorial so go give it a read here.

Thanx, mohaa_rox, for the ad. I wouldn't call it 'exellent' :oops: , I just thought, it could be of some use for one or the other!

I tried the tutorial inside my map, but it seems like the light beam would look better in an outdoor map.

I've used them inside a large storage room and found them okay. Send a screen or tell me what is wrong with them.
I wouldn't say, they're perfect but maybe we could change something quickly?!

argh is there a light beam texture already in mohaa cuz i dont have a program that supports targa images:x:x... and if possible could some one give me a link to dl a free one so i can start skinning!!! :D:D

ok so can you tell me if there is already a dust beam texture in mohaa? or do i have to make one! :x im no good at complicated stuff like that :oops:

you can find volumetric white texture and edit that for your light beam it already has the dust texture etc just adjust the $whiteimage alpha settings try rgbGen constant .1 .1 .1 and give the beam a custom name

one more thing adjust the scale of the dust for a better effect try

tcMod scale 100 100 in the shader
