This really goes to show what i've learned about media and 3rd person perspectives: you cant know anything about it until you've experienced it yourself.
lol... ive read all but the 6th one... ive mitualted animals, drank their blood and ripped out their organs after taking a missive shot of cocaine. Then everyone in the Advanced Placemnt class shot themselves and died. riiiight
seriously... teens reading harry potter, then wanting to do magic. then they search on the internet at "findacultnearyou.com" or whtaever and become a devout worshipper of satan this person is either overprotective of their children or just against anyform of 'magic' whatsoever...
Im suprised people with these attitudes are capable of forming complete sentences. They obviously lack any real intelligence where the history or psychology of man is concerned. What they are motivated by is religion. Thier religion has terrible cautionary tales about witchcraft, about people who worship dark forces and are an abomination to god.
The true shame here is that you are looking at two sets of works, one blatantly fiction, a completely obvious farce, that few of sound mind would ever read as fact, as much as they may wish for a secret magical world. The other, an even more wildly improbable text, filled not only with contradicting morals, some that would be illegal and abhorrent in todays society, but also with acts of magic, the only 'authorized' magic these people will tell you should exist. So whats the difference? The second one is taught to children as fact. Thus, no other magic can be anything other then evil, even 'fictional' magic.
I have no problem with the bible, nor any religion as a set of beliefs for the people who choose it. However, it sickens me when the ignorant 'true believers' vilify works of fiction because they contain magic and miracles, with no 'proper' ties to the divine that they worship. After all, the 'magic of the human spirit' or anything of that sort, is not usualy impressive to such people, when not tied to the divine. Humanity without the divine spark is something to be loathed and feared.
