Circular and another "formats" of texture

Post by mcunha98 »

Getting this image as reference, when i put this in MOH: Radiant, and use CTRL+F to fit the texture, i have a non rectangular area versus a retangular area.

What is recommended in this cases ????

Its hard to tell what the problem is from what you wrote. Are you saying that you have a problem with applying texture to a curved surface? Is it patch mesh?

In true i dont pratice this technique, is more a curiosity about what is the result of a circula texture x circular area (imagine a brush with 8 sides for example).

If YOU (in my opinion the "GURU" of MOH:AA) tell "Its Hard", i believe, is hard...

he means he wants to put these signs on a circular brush.

your best bet is to make a square image out of one of these, (probably 512x512 pixels) copy/paste one of them into the middle, and make a bound around it (hard to explain without an image editor, it's what sets .tgs apart from .jpg, .tga can have "areas" that aren't drawn)

then make a rectangular brush with one side a sign and the rest caulk :)

Just scale the tex, then clip the brush to the size of the sign you want.
