hi, calling total B***S*** on that one, your source ? there where cities all up and down the east coast way before philadelphia came to be. you're obviously confusing australia with philadelphia (understandable, they both end with the "eee-ah'' sound only one is a country and the other is a city) know your history, son.
Indeed i do know my history. Do you?
Australia was originally a smattering of very small and inexpensive prisons, it was never populated to the degree America was. Reason? Australia is naturally a very barren nation. It had very little potential outside the animals, which were difficult to capture or use for anything. When America was discovered, some guy (British, i forget his name and dont have my 5th grade history textbook with me so i cant tell you what it was) asked Britain to use a portion of America as a prison state. The amount of rations and men to ship a holdful of prisoners who would usually riot, escape, or take the ship by force and become pirates en route to Australia (that's almost polar opposite to Britain, FYI) became to much, so the King at the time (again, i dont know his name) said that across the Atlantic was better than on the South side of Asia. Different prisoners went to different places and most settlers went away from the jailed population (understandably) and formed most of the "New" cities. (New York New Hampshire.. etc)
The prisoners were sent to various locales around the coast.
History 101 Day 1: done.
back to pets.
EDIT:
finally, you're all confusing our old slogan of 'city of brotherly love' with the actual 'city of hard love'.
lmao
