AGP is apparently an older technology than PCI Express.

i think you misunderstood me or something,

ofcourse new technology can make older technology completely obsolete, just by being uh better.

yes, but what i'm saying is this.

PCI came out: had a monopoly.
AGP came out, beat PCI, PCI became "old technology"
PCI-E came out, apparently better than AGP, AGP becomes "old technology"
doubtlessly there will be a new AGP or even something different coming out within the next 5 years.

this is what i'm talking about, leapfrogging technology. no tech will be the best for very long... i'm not exactly sure how many instances of this i have to write...
