This is for Trigger_multiple:

"angle" if set, the trigger will only fire when someone is facing the direction of the angle.

"cone" the cone in which a directed trigger can be triggered (default 60 degrees)

if you mean can a trigger be odd shapes, then yes; a trigger can be any shape or size. if you want it to only fire when someone is facing a certain way, then do what Tom just said.

wha? i've put odd angles on triggers and they always work... they have to be big enough to be touched/contain the player but it's always worked...

i've only tried scripting geometry once, and it was a mess. these were Radiant brushes with angles like...

Code: Select all

They work, but they work like they have a box shape

Code: Select all

|\
| \ x
| \
| \
| |
| |
| |
__________
An ent at x would still trigger your trigger, even though it seems outside the brush.

And I meant world-axes aligned box shape :) , so no sneaky rotatin :P

Jv-map is right. Even with my player cannon, the push trigger will send you flying when you are standing outside of the barrel. Players fly at an angle because the trigger targets a script_origin, not because the trigger is angled.

oooh i see now, lol i thought you meant the compiler would just remove it or something, because it wasnt a box.
