Taking out sun keys and values from day map
I have made a day map with sunlight and everything. I want to turn it into night but i cant take the sunlight, sundirection, and sunflare out. How do i do this? Also how do i set a certain area to not get lit by the ambient lighting?

ambient light is eternal in the mohaa world, it's everywhere .
you can however make the ambient light seem 'darker' in certain areas by making them inside walls and a roof.
you'll need to change your sky texture to a night sky texture
then change the values . for example:
ambientlight
7 7 7
suncolor
24 24 26
sundirection
-45 75 0
sunflarename
none

hit your "n" key to bring up the entities window.....with your map loaded, click on the sky, worldspawn info should appear in the entities window......in the window, click on, to highlight the sunflare, and then go down to "delete key/pair". that should remove the sunflare. do the same for whatever else you may need to remove. the only way to lower the light is to completely remove the ambient light, and replace it with "light".....right click in 2d, select light, and move them around the map as needed. you can edit the values by......highlighting the light, hit"n", and adjusting the values as such........key....light....value between 5 and 300......also you can change the color by highlighting the light entity and hitting "k", to bring up paint....go to advanced, select color and "add to", then hit ok...light color should change.....hope I got that right....
