Leak problem

Post by gallant »

I am new to editing maps. We run a mohbt clan server and i want to edit multiplayer maps, mainly so you dont fall through the ground when frozen, and to protect spawns. But i get a leak error when i try to compile the level. I use mohbsp to mohmap converter then mohradiant, and then mbuilder. I tried to compile a map with no editing and it had a leak error as well.. I was glad it wasnt something i did.... So how can i fix the problem....????

You want to learn how to script. Down load a map mod and look at it for starters. Take a look at some of the scripting tutorials and try searching the forums for things that may help you. Post any questions if you need help.

converter

Most of us only use the "bsp to map" converter as a reference tool to see how things were done. Repairing a converted map is a nightmare!!! There are thousands of extra brushes, missing entities, and misaligned texture. To fix it all would take months.

script

Most of them are modified by adding things to the original script. Only a few of the original maps have been converted and rebuilt. It is much easier to create a map from scratch than it is to rebuild a converted map.
