Is the classname for a camera not "func_camera" or "camera"? :/

I am trying to make a camera tik so that it can be controlled better, and attached to stuff, but it's not working. :<

i thought it was just Camera. thats what it lists as in g_allclasses.html

did u spawn that camera for the trigger use like:

spawn models/camera.tik "targetname" "my_camera0"
?

also @(...:.:...)@, using the cameralike this was discussed in the prone mod thread. A couple of things i just noticed while looking through some animations. there are prone fps animations for the rifle atleast. I've been working on a server side bash mod for AA so i stubled acroos em. to bad i lost the prone mod when tmt got hacked. i dont have a back up copy :x

i dont really see how u can make the camera not solid and not draw when it doesnt anyway (i think)

its not to hard to spawn the camera the normalway

I spawned it with attachmodel. =)

Nodraw is incase the dummy has a texture or something :/, same for notsolid.

Yep, I have tried spawning the camera normaly, and updating it's origin every frame, but that makes the view kind of jerky. I have tried gluing, but then you can't change it's angle, or I think it's offset from the model.

I will try a workaround by gluing the camera to a host model, like a fx/dummy.tik, and then using attachmodel to attach that. I can then change the angles of the host dummy.tik and effect the camera (I hope).

updating origin was always smoooth for me.

also instead of glue use attach. You shouldnt have any problem with angles then.


dunno what attachmodel params u used, gave it a targetname? i think it's less work to do stuff like that without tiks and quicker anyway.

yea that makes sense. thanks for sending me the prone. no i cant loginto his account. :) i dun really care what the description is.

maybe some of the camera commands

or before bind a scriptorg to his eye and use the command follow
or maybe physics_off prob dont work with cams

i dont think u can use attach model cause wat bone is there that u can attatch it to. once in camera to that player his bones arent really findable for somereason. i tried getting the position of the eyebone when in camera. still a no worky. cause to that player he doesnt have any other model other than the arms.

i still need sorrids hammers :(

its for tmt users to store there stuff.

so long as you don't abuse the space you can store what you want there....


obv other ppl have access so don't store anything you wouldn't mind loosing...

I have the sledgehammer mod to :D

Anything I like the look of I just dl and put it in a mods folder. :-)

I had about 4 GB last check. :shock:

didn't City Nights_final have a prone mod built in for the snipers (ie. crouch & move) ? giff, what's this bash mod about ? love to hear it, nothing like running around and just bashing.
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

not to hijack this thread but its for us AA players that like to bash with other weapons rather than just the pistols. using the animations already in the game for the ai i made players able to bash with their rifle with secondary fire completely serverside. its all set except for the first person animations. so i can see my gun doing the bash. gonna use the pistol bash fps animations for my veiw and in 3rd person u'd see the rifle butt animation.
i think sorrid use the bash animation in his sledges so thats why i wanted to see em

and my prone was ment to be serverside
